Super sweet up front: milk chocolate and hazelnut, roasted marshmallow, and a touch of oat that points to a high-toast barrel. Then it turns toward oak spice, rye spice, a light-bodied cigar note, even a whisper of jalapeño. The nose gets better the second time around.

Super silky, oily mouthfeel, with all the rye character we wanted at 128 proof, without drinking too hot or aggressive. An excellent example of what Sagamore rye can be.
