At around $60 MSRP this should be a no-brainer for anyone exploring the category: peaches, apricots, citrus, and almost none of the heavy malt presence that puts people off single malts. Sweet, light, and fruity. An excellent whiskey for someone just getting into the hobby, or a fresh tasting journey for the connoisseur.

Super sweet up front: milk chocolate and hazelnut, roasted marshmallow, and a touch of oat that points to a high-toast barrel. Then it turns toward oak spice, rye spice, a light-bodied cigar note, even a whisper of jalapeño. The nose gets better the second time around.
Get first access on Discord →Pursuit Spirits reserves the Pursuit Series for sourced single barrels too good to blend. This one comes from Sagamore Spirit. Super silky, oily mouthfeel, with all the rye character we wanted at 128 proof, without drinking too hot or aggressive. An excellent example of what Sagamore rye can be.

Get first access on Discord →Simply the best thing we have tasted at Dark Arts. Jim Beam distillate almost always carries a nutty streak and this barrel has none of it. The nose tells you right away that you are dealing with a serious bourbon: deep oak and cherry, a little raspberry tartness, and a bright orange zest sitting on top. The palate goes further again, with oak, more of that cherry, and a Wild Turkey style funk underneath it. The finish makes you salivate and reach straight back for the glass. This might be the best bourbon we have picked so far.

It is extremely fruity, and the nose alone will captivate you: pineapple and ripe mango, sweet and loud. The palate takes it somewhere else entirely, with orange zest oil, lemon peel, and a sweet tangerine that makes you do a double take. It is the most unique American single malt on the market and the perfect summer whiskey. We are confident you are going to love it.
