Buttered pancakes with maple syrup. That is the easiest way to describe it. Balmorhea is sweet, heavy, very oaky, and completely its own thing. It is not trying to be subtle, and that is exactly why I like it. If you want a double oaked bourbon that actually feels different from everything else, this is the one.
