The 2021 Galánta Release from The Shed Distillery in Drumshanbo, County Leitrim, is billed as the first single malt Irish whiskey distilled in Connacht in over a century. Triple distilled from malted Irish barley, matured in first-fill Kentucky bourbon casks, and bottled at 46% ABV in a run of 1,200 hand-numbered bottles. The profile stays gentle and composed, with honey, vanilla, orchard fruit, and toasted nuts over soft oak.
What reviewers say
"This Drumshanbo Galánta is good, even though I think it lacks a bit of character and something differentiating." More Drams Less Drama
