The Balvenie French Oak 16 Year is a Speyside single malt finished in French oak casks that previously held Pineau des Charentes, the fortified grape aperitif of the Cognac region. Part of the distillery's Cask Finishes range, it is bottled at 47.6% ABV and runs brighter and more fruit-driven than Balvenie's sherried expressions, with honey, citrus, and orchard fruit over gentle oak spice.
